Karis Telefon Ab was founded back in 1920 and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2020! The company operates in the southwest of Finland and is a member of the Finnet Association.

The company focuses on building fiber optic infrastructure as well as offering B2C and B2B fiber optic solutions for consumers, companies, communities, and operators.

The original purpose was to provide landline phone services, but during the years the company has grown into a modern telecommunications company. Today the main services are high speed internet and cable television through fibre optics. The mission of replacing the aging telephone lines with a modern fiber optic network was initiated in 2008 and completed by the end of 2020.

The vision is to create a modern fiber optic network reaching all homes in Raasepori, Hanko, Inkoo, and Siuntio. The network started expanding to Kirkkonummi in 2021. The customer support and services are locally produced. Karis Telefon is owned by its customers, with each new FTTH subscriber becoming a shareholder. Local ownership is important to us and something we’ve endeavoured in order to continue contributing to the well-being of the region, our home.
